I should rephrase that question … to do you want a free budget template or a smart budget template that works?

Of course there is nothing wrong with free stuff and if you use Microsoft then you will have access to a free Excel household budget template. It’s a very simple budget template that you can set up for free, but it it is simple and does not really do much apart from add up the columns etc.
